# Events

Use **OmniFabric > Events** to review operational events related to database instances.

## Review events

1. Open **Events**.
2. Select an instance or event scope when the corresponding filter is available.
3. Set the time range and other filters shown on the page.
4. Open an event to review its status, time, and details.

Events help you correlate a console operation with a change in instance status. When investigating an issue, compare the event time with [Monitoring](https://omnifabric.cloudsigma.com/docs/guides/matrixone/monitoring.html.md) and [Alert Logs](https://omnifabric.cloudsigma.com/docs/guides/matrixone/alert-logs.html.md).

The event types, filters, and retention period available to your account are shown in the console.
